Reflection and Refraction of Light – Adventures Videos

Although this video is geared to younger children, it is full of good material for all ages to gain a better understanding of how light reflects and refracts. It’s just over six minutes, so middle school and high schoolers will survive. Of course, if they already know all about the topic, it’s not necessary, but sometimes it’s a good thing to put complex issues into simple terms.

I think of a funny show I watched (Psych) when the detective was pretending to be a doctor. He told the interns to explain it to him not as if he were a doctor, but as if he were a fifth grader. After realizing he still wasn’t getting it, the detective said, “Okay, now – tell me like I’m a five year old” – HA! But really, sometimes it helps!
